I stopped using Copilot in PowerPoint

Hello Reader 👋,

New week, new YouTube video.

A while ago, I tested Copilot in PowerPoint.

And to be fair, at the time it was impressive: generating slides automatically and quickly felt like a big step forward.

But as we move forward with AI, the bar is rising quickly.

And today, I don’t think we can really be satisfied with what Copilot delivers anymore, especially for finance presentations.

So I ran a new test.

This time comparing Copilot with Claude inside PowerPoint.

The difference was more interesting than I expected.

In the video, I run a real CFO presentation scenario and show what happens when each tool generates a finance deck

You’ll see:

☑️ Why Copilot still struggles with structured financial storytelling

☑️ How Claude builds a proper executive summary using Minto logic

☑️ Why editable charts matter much more than most people realize

☑️ How AI can check financial logic instead of just writing slides

...and what this means for finance teams trying to move from reporting to influencing

If you’re experimenting with AI in finance, this gives a concrete example of how these tools actually behave in a real presentation scenario.

That’s it for this week.

P.S. If you lead a finance team and want to move from reporting to influencing decisions, I also run a monthly session where I walk through the Financial Storytelling Maturity Model.
